Season of Change, Season of You: Time for Your Rebellious Rising

Published on 2 October 2025 at 10:28

That’s right, forget the tired old “new month, new you” nonsense. You don’t need to become someone else, fix yourself, or squeeze into some impossible ideal. What you need, what you deserve, is a rebellion. A rebellion against every rule, expectation, and role that’s been dumped on you.

Because here’s the truth: this month isn’t waiting for you to be ready. It’s already here. The truth: you’ll never feel ready because ready isn’t a feeling, it’s a decision.

The question is: are you going to let another month pass by on autopilot, or are you going to use it as your personal invitation to step into the life you actually want?

Why Your Dreams Feel Far Away

Sometimes the choices that keep our lives small don’t look dramatic at all. They look ordinary. Manageable. Easy.

“I put off the creative project because I was afraid of failing and now years have passed and nothing’s changed.”

“I let the clutter build because it felt easier in the moment and now my home feels nothing like me.”

“I kept saying yes to work on holidays and now rest feels impossible.”

It’s not that we don’t know these things matter. It’s that we avoid the discomfort of starting, changing or saying no. And over time, these small choices quietly widen the gap between where we are and where we want to be.

Your rebellious, unapologetic self doesn’t avoid the small hard things; she moves through them, because they clear the way for the life you are creating.

Rebel By Listening to Yourself

For years, you’ve probably been trained to put yourself last. Your wants, your needs, your desires stuffed in the bottom drawer while you catered to everyone else. Not this month. This month, you make space for the voice inside that says, “I want more.”

Write it down. Speak it out loud. Whisper it if you need to, but stop silencing it. That’s your rebellion.

Rebel By Choosing Desire

Wanting something doesn’t make you greedy, selfish, or unrealistic. It makes you human. Desire is fuel. It points you toward what matters. Whether it’s more freedom, more adventure, more love, or just more damn quiet in your life, stop apologising for wanting it.

Ask yourself: If I dropped the guilt and the rules, what would I give myself permission to go after this month?

Rebel By Exploring Possibility

The beauty of a new month is the clean slate it offers. Nothing has happened yet. Anything could. You don’t need to figure it all out or commit to some giant life overhaul. Just open the door to possibility.

Try something new. Say yes to something fun. Say no to something draining. Wander into curiosity. The rebellion is not in controlling the outcome - it’s in refusing to stay stuck.

This month, you don’t have to heal harder, work harder, or prove your worth to anyone. You just get to live.

So here’s your challenge: pick one rebellious act that honours your wants, your needs, and your desires. Do it unapologetically. And watch how it cracks open the possibilities that have been waiting for you all along.

This isn’t about becoming a new you. It’s about finally becoming you.

What’s your first rebellious move this month?
